​Welcome to Rockin' Gyp Horsemanship, my name is Liv Swanson. I have about 20 years of experience working in the equine industry, and love to share my passion for horses with others. I offer basic riding lessons in English and Western, colt starting, finishing, and all around retraining tune-ups. Using natural horsemanship techniques that prioritize the horse's comfort and well-being, I dedicate time to do my best to understand the horse and rider as a team and set them up for success together. Growing up I learned to ride and handle horses from Mary and Kirsten Sundquist, Joe Westcott, Peg Wood, Wendy Pole, Julie Goodnight, Dominique Barbier, and Dawn Hoselton. When training I don't use a just one size fits all approach, I use different natural horsemanship principles from all of my instructors as well as principles developed by other Hall of Fame Horsemen, such as Monty Roberts, Ray Hunt, Clint Anderson, Mestre Nuno de Oliveira, and more.
